Idea #86 - Why Every Filmmaker Should Swear by ARRI

Today we watched Why You Should Study ARRI Cameras and learned a little about its history and how it has maintained an enviable position among its competitors for decades.

ARRI (Arnold & Richter Cine Technik) is a leading designer and manufacturer of camera and lighting systems for the film and broadcast industry, and is involved in almost every aspect of the motion picture industry - from developing a camera to releasing a feature film.

ARRI has stuck to the same standard since it was founded in 1917 and maintained the idea that it is not only film and video that are a form of art but the making of machines and equipments is also a high art form, proving itself decade after decade. Despite impressive technological advancement and breakthroughs, until 2017, about 80% of all major productions were still employing the ARRI for filming and post-production,

ARRI was planning on launching a 4k Alexa, but decided otherwise because that would cost them their dynamic range. This is precisely how consistent it is with its quality control and standards, which has rendered the company with an unsurpassable pedestal among others!
