Idea #55 - The New Norm & Al Show
Today we watched Oatly’s puppet sitcom - The New Norm and Al Show that tries to persuade people to adopt a more plant-based diet!
Here we have Norm, a wise, already plant-based puppet, and Al, who represents the general public with good intentions and lots to learn. They go through various situations that we might all encounter at varying points in our journey towards going plant-based.
This ad campaign was very intelligently thought through and brilliantly executed to be interactive with the audience - not only people who are already familiar with the subject but also the ones who know little about it.
Oatly seems to be heavily inspired by the YouTube channel Don’t Hug Me .I’m Scared for this campaign. With art direction a lot like this channel’s, Oatly successfully conveyed the message to the target audience without being preachy, and in an extremely fun way!
