Idea #31 - Listen to your Circadian Rhythm
When was the last time you felt insanely energetic without downing two cups of coffee? When was the last time your back was not aching? When was the last time you had a healthy meal and went to bed on time? Developing over the course of time as little inconveniences, these seemingly insignificant factors, in the long run, affect the capacity of the human body, making us less and less capable of serving everyday tasks with time.
Today we watched Satchin Panda’s TEDxYouth talk on How Your Circadian Rhythm Tunes Your Health where he speaks of the importance of the internal body clock, and why you should never ignore when it gives you a sign. The circadian rhythm is present in every living organism, from an ant to the great white shark, and simply following it can cure you of every little malfunctioning in your system that could potentially lead to bigger problems.
We then watched Satchin Panda’s How Optimising Circadian Rhythms Can Increase Healthy Years to follow up with the last video, and learned how tiny changes in everyday life can help in making our quality of life healthier and happier holistically. Even simply going to bed on time, eating on time, and limiting your screen time can noticeably and significantly improve your well-being.
So let us all take good care of ourselves and the people around us and lead a healthy life together!
